It's a RED HOT summer.

Oh look, I finally posted again.
You see, the problem with me is that,
When I want to post, I'm too busy,
When I do have the time to post,
I procrastinate till I'm busy again and so the cycle goes on.
Originally I would have liked to talk about last Saturday,
Which was basically the Z2H mid-way party I looked so much to last week,
But I more or less don't know what to write about it.
So I'm gonna leave it for another day after I consolidate my thoughts.
For now I'll talk about today's school day.
Only this time I won't emphasize so much on the boring parts like Bumber (Yu Fei) said.

I feel so inspired by "Pay it forward",
During our English period today we watched the movie,
Really nice movie, even if we weren't given the chance to finish watching it.
Basically it's about this boy,
Trevor who happens to be from a broken home,
With a single mom who struggles to recover from alcoholism.
Like most other kids, he believes in the goodness of human nature,
When given an assignment by his social studies teacher,
Trevor goes out to help a homeless man get back on his feet,
But instead of paying back that favor,
That homeless man is told to pay it forward, and with three rules to follow.
One, it has to be something that really helps the person.
Two, it must be something they can't do by themselves.
Three, when you help that person, he or she must do the same for three other people.

And no, this isn't gonna turn into a movie review.
It's just that it's emotionally galvanizing, perfectly simple and yet well thought out.
If you help three people who help three people each and so on.
1 x 3 = 3
3 x 3 = 9
9 x 3 = 27
27 x 3 = 81
And through the magic of exponential growth,
In by helping 3 people, you indirectly help everyone who falls within the system.
Even if some of the said people didn't fill their 3-person quota,
Just under half of 80 is still quite significant for a single person.
Yes, it's just a movie, fictional and all but don't we all find ourselves asking,
Why is the world in such a mess,
Why is everything so unfair?

While something like this certainly wouldn't create a truly Utopian world,
It will go to some extent towards making everyone happy.
And yet I doubt I'd ever do something like that myself,
For the same reason that helps you get to bed every night post "drag me to hell",
"It's just a movie, it's not real"
Plus my doubt that anyone would really pass on that torch,
Would they really care about the big picture, will they even be able to stay above needing help?
If it's so great then why hasn't it been done?
But at the same time I'll continue to question myself,
With all my "what if it's really possible?",
That's all for this subject-specific post.
